
Suzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937 and passed away 19 January 2008 was an American film, television, theatre, and voice actress. 1. Pleshette began her career in the theatre and started appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s. Later, she appeared in prominent films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she appeared in various television shows and was frequently a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 in which she won several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January of 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer, performing under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager of the Paramount Theater in Manhattan and the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
