Gemma Christina Arterton was born in Gravesend, a Kent town, Greater London. She is most famous for roles in films such as Quantum of Solace, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, along with a host of other like 'Hansel & Grete: Witch Hunters. She was born in Gravesend, Kent, in Greater London. She made her debut in the industry after studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made her film debut as a support role in the comedic film "St. Trinian's'. In the James Bond film Quantum of Solace and Quantum of Solace, released within a short time, she was a minor role. The film was a success commercially but received only average reviews. The starring role in the action-fantasy movie 'Prince of Persia The Sands of Time" was her following. She was also in a supporting part for"Orphan" in the French movie "Orphan". Arterton is nominated to win many awards during her entire career one of which was she took home the Empire Award for the best Newcomer in 'Quantum of Solace,' and the "Evening Standards Theatre Award' for her part in the musical "Made in Dagenham'. In 2011 she was honoured with the Glamour award for Women of the year.
